Michelle was born in New Hampshire in 1980 and lived there until she was 9 years old. She
showed interest in art at a very early age, creating a watercolor painting of a bunny in first grade that won a blue ribbon at the Deerfield Fair Art Show. Even as a child she wanted to focus on art as an eventual career.
In 1989 her family moved to Holiday, Florida where Michelle would find a deeper love for art
through her middle and high school art classes. In her junior year of high school, she was one of the founding members of her high school’s art club and in her senior year was president. In her high school career, she won Best of Show, and numerous first place ribbons for her work from various art shows even making the front page of the local news paper for one of her paintings. Michelle had hoped to go to college to eventually become an art teacher, but life had different plans for her.
After high school Michelle lived in several different states including, Florida, New Jersey, and
Pennsylvania. You can see the influences of the places she has traveled in a lot of her pieces, including her childhood home in New Hampshire. She now resides in Texas with her husband and three children, where she is focusing on her art career.
The beauty of Texas has become an important focus of her most recent work, finding inspiration
in the variety of landscapes and cultures. She also finds inspiration in fantasy works such as The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Final Fantasy, and World of Warcraft. Artists such as Josephine Wall, Bob Ross, Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Alphonse Mucha, and Louis Comfort Tiffany influenced the development of Michelle’s own artistic style.
